                                                    Arnold and Myrtle Billups

Arnold was born in Ohio and, when a baby, his parents moved to Kentucky, where he grew up.  He was taken to church where 2 different denominations had 2 weeks each for holding their services.  The names of the denominations were: Baptist and Christian. Most of the people who attended the services, he believed, attended most of the services.  Myrtle was born in and grew up in Indiana.
Both of Arnold's parents were school teachers.  Arnold attended two elementary schools and went on to High School in Kentucky.

Upon graduating from high school, a minister came from Indiana and invited him to sing for a revival. Arnold and his youngest sister had sung together while growing up and they had learned several songs. In Indiana He met Myrtle and, about two years later, they were married and lived in Kentucky for a time.

Arnold spent about 7 l/2 years in the Air Force, stationed in California; Tennessee; Ohio; Saudi Arabia; and Turkey. He was released from the military to study in a Bible College in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated with two degrees: Th.B. (theology) and B. A. in English and Social Studies.  He graduated from Xavier University, in Cincinnati, Ohio, receiving a M.Ed degree in education
Arnold and Myrtle were ordained as missionaries and sent to South America, to start churches for a Baptist denomination, where they served for more than three years.  Some time later, after returning from S.A, they were sent to the West Indies, as missionaries, supervising the mission work. Upon the completion of their tour, they were sent to Laredo, Texas, where Arnold was to supervise the mission work in Texas and Mexico.

The first time Arnold and Myrtle were asked to go to South America was to open up a place for a church organization.  This involved finding a place  to hold services, chartering the congregation with the government, writing a constitution and by-laws for church congregations Before they were able to do all this work, they needed to learn the language of the people of the country and they studied about one year to learn the language .

Upon completing their tour of duty in Laredo, Texas, working as missionaries, Arnold was invited by the principal of Alice High School, in Alice, Texas, to teach in the High School, where he spent more than 11 years teaching English, World History, psychology and sociology.

Arnold was asked to return to South America and direct and supervise the mission work, as he had done in the organizing the work there.  He and Myrtle started five church congregations, with God's help, during their two terms.

Arnold has pastured various churches in Texas, preached in various U.S states, and started two church congregations, both in Ohio.  He has preached in Australia, Mexico, Turkey, Bravados, Jamaica and Guatemala.

They are available for revival services: Arnold preaching and both of them singing.  He is available for pulpit supply in any church or mission as the Lord would call, and the church invite. They have been singing more than 40 years the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Arnold plays the electric guitar, the acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonica, steel guitar and the piano, and some on the organ. Myrtle can play the piano, organ, and the accordian.

Just let them know when and where you want them and the time you want them to be at your church or mission.  They may come to any church denomination as the Lord directs.  Arnold has had the privilege of preaching in various denominations in the  U.S...
